You will be changed from the inside out

Nail Painting

In these extremely trying times with the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping across the world, we find ourselves wondering what is in store for us in our new normal. During the lockdown period, we were all confined to our homes, not being able to leave and our usual activities coming to an absolute standstill.

I have always gone to a nail salon and had my nails done but I decided to remove the artificial nails and expose my natural nail bed. I was dreading this as my natural nails are weak and break easily. I have managed to grow my own nails over the past few months using a nail strengthening product and amazingly I have noticed that my nails are hardening and not breaking at the slightest bump. As I was applying some of the strengthening product to my nails, I realized that this experience is applying strength to my life. God is busy stripping away everything that is hindering my own growth to expose my natural talents and capabilities. All I need to do is allow God to heal that which is broken and expose all that is good in my life. The only thing He expects from me is to keep reading His word and applying it as my personal strengthening product.

Romans 12: 1-3 (NIV)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Colossians 3: 9-11 (NIV)

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

The Bible talks clearly about shedding the old self and becoming renewed in the image of God our creator.

I hope this brings some inspiration into your daily life.
